Q: What is Infertility?

Infertility is the inability to conceive, or to carry a pregnancy to full term after one year of unprotected sexual intercourse. For women 35 years of age or older, this time length is shortened to 6 months. As a responsible parent one should go for fertility check up and evaluation during family planning, to prevent possible pregnancy complications and miscarriages.

Q: What kind of infertility problems is the Chinese medicine approach better suited for?

Once inserted, the needles may cause numbness or a calm relaxing sensation and it should not be painful. The needle is extremely thin (about the width of 2 human hairs), disposable and flexible. Sensations that patients normally experience are tingling which is associated with the movement of energy stimulated by the insertion of the needles. This is a desired affect and should not feel painful.
